Ship inspection and consulting

NORMAR Consult provides technical advice in connection with ordering a new building. The design of the ship will be carry out in close cooperation with the customer.  This ensures that the customer gets exactly the ship as he wants and cover his needs. NORMAR Consult will prepare the first drawings (e.g. GA-plan), specification and examine the cost of building the ship. Planning and preparing of large drawings will so far being done by partner abroad. There can be arranged delivery of a complete new building with a competitive price and fixed delivery time.

Are you considering buying a vessel and/or changing flag to e.g. Greenlandic flag, don’t hesitate to contact NORMAR Consult for assistance - we have the necessary skills and experience to provide advice so that the right decision can be taken on the purchase. For your own best it is important that a technical inspection is performed to clarify the standard of the ship and also to discover any deviations from the authority’s technical regulations. In a changing-flag process NORMAR Consult will be in regular contact with the Danish Maritime Authority to ensure, that no unexpected requirements from the authorities are presented after purchasing the ship.

Any drawing, specification or report required by the authorities will be produced or provided by NORMAR Consult. Such information is e.g. updating drawings, investigation of ice strengthening of the hull, stability booklet, noise measurements, measurement of ship, thickness measurement of ship construction, investigation for asbestos etc.. Drawings will be delivered in cooperation with partners.

In connection with changing flag of a ship, NORMAR Consult assists with various paperwork which are required by the Danish Maritime Authority, such as completing the application for minimum safe manning, radio license, registration papers and other forms.

NORMAR Consult is familiar with the most important international Conventions at sea such as SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, Load Lines, Tonnage Measurements of Ships and ILO-Conventions. Don’t hesitate to seek advice from us if you need answer on questions relating to these Conventions.
